TBL Hall of Fame

The following outlines the process for nominating and electing former TBL players into the TBL Hall of Fame.


To be eligible to be a candidate for membership into the TBL Hall of Fame players should meet the following criteria:

1. Have played at least 5 full seasons in TBL
2. Been considered an elite player as his position in TBL, not the NFL
3. Must be retired for at least 1 full season prior to nomination (* The TBL commissioner may make certain exemptions for special players)

The process for nominating and electing a player is as follows:
1. Prior to the TBL draft any GM may submit in writing the name of a player they believe should be considered for enshrinement as well as the team he enter the Hall representing, along with a few brief comments backing up why he should be considered for the honor.
2. The TBL Commissioner will then review all nominees and submit a list of finalists for the Hall of Fame panel to review. Hall of Fame panel will be made up of six GMs selected by commissioner, to be eligible to serve on panel GMs must have completed a minimum of 5 seasons of TBL play.
3. The TBL Commissioner will then read the pertinent information to the Hall of Fame review panel and give the GM who submitted the candidate an opportunity to further explain why the player is worthy of the TBL Hall of Fame
4. The Hall of Fame panel will review the candidates and vote for the enshrinement into TBL Hall of Fame.
5. No more than two players may enter the Hall of Fame in any given year.
6. Players must receive a minimum of 4 votes for enshrinement into hall.
7. Any player not elected into TBL Hall of Fame can be resubmitted the following season.
8. Any player that receives more than 50% of the vote will automatically be reviewed the following season.

Things to consider when nominating an individual for TBL Hall of Fame:
1. Was this player ever on a championship team?
2. Did he ever lead the league in scoring?
3. Awards
4. Longetivity and productivity

While the Hall of Fame panel will vote for enshrinement the TBL commissioner will have final say on the franchise designation that enshrines will represent.
